Best Energy Advisor is an independent energy advisory and consulting practice based in Lewes, Delaware, working with commercial, industrial and residential clients across the United States.
We were built for the businesses that get handed a bill every month and very little explanation. Our work turns consumption data, meter records, tariff sheets and contract paperwork into a clear picture of where the money goes — and a realistic plan for what to do about it.
What we are not is just as important: we are not a utility, supplier, retailer, broker or installer, and we are not an “independent energy company”. We have nothing to sell you except advice, which is exactly what makes the advice worth having.

Best Energy Advisor is an independent energy advisory and consulting company. We provide analysis, modelling, planning and guidance. We are not a utility, electricity or natural gas supplier, retailer, broker, aggregator or installer, and we are not an “independent energy company” in the sense of generating, owning, trading, selling or delivering energy. We are also not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any utility, supplier, manufacturer or contractor.
What this means in practice
- We do not sell electricity, natural gas, solar systems, batteries, generators or any other energy product or equipment.
- We do not install, commission, service, repair or maintain anything.
- We do not accept commissions, referral fees, rebates, mark-ups or any other payment from suppliers, brokers, installers or manufacturers.
- We do not sign contracts on your behalf and we do not act as your agent in a purchase. You contract directly with whatever third party you choose.
- We do not present estimates, models or illustrative savings as guarantees.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for the quality, transparency and traceability of our analysis, for disclosing the assumptions behind every figure, and for telling you plainly when a proposed measure is a poor fit — including when the honest answer is “this is not worth doing”.

Fees, in plain terms
Single-fee reviews typically range from a modest fixed fee for a bill or tariff review up to a larger project fee for multi-site assessment and reporting programmes. Retainers are quoted monthly. The exact figure depends on scope, data volume and complexity — and it is always agreed in writing before work begins.
